News: Ken Lord becomes Executive Director, Southeastern Law Enforcement Training Seminars Inc (SELETS)

Ken Lord, Comen International's Agent in Charge in Tennessee has been selected Executive Director of the Southeastern Law Enforcement Training Seminars Inc (SELETS) from the Southeast Region of the United States. Webpage www.selets.com. SELECTS conducts forensic seminars for law enforcement, public safety and legal professionals.

The SELETS is a great opportunity for PI's to attend as well. This year we have Dr. Henry Lee again, NCIS cold case squad, David Rivers, Miami Dade Police (Ret) on cold cases, an expert on police shootings, and a segment on law enforcement and the media. We also have a 'range' day, vendors/exhibitors etc.

Kenneth Lord

Our Tennessee State Operations Director is Kenneth P Lord, III. Mr. Lord has directed Lord & Associates in Tennesseefrom 1997 to present conducting background investigations, surveillance, computer research, and security consulting. He specializing in military legal defense matters. computer research, security consulting, specializing in military legal defense matters.

Mr Lord has done Security surveys for a major SE US trucking firm and twelve HUD regional operations centers in 2001 and 2002 respectively. He has associated with the Law Offices of John B. Wells, ESQ, Slidell, LA as staff investigator on military defense cases. He has associated with Normandy Services of Woodbridge, VA and Mr. Blair Gluba in both criminal and civil investigations. Mr. Lord is affiliated with Mantech-MSM, Omnisec and Dyncorps for background investigations for DOD, Customs and NSA, with Blanchard & Associates for backgrounds for DIA, and with BICS for background inquiries for DOJ . He is adjunct instructor Columbia State Community College in political science.

Professional experience 1977 to 1997 Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Special Agent (GS-13) Conducted criminal investigations for Department of the Navy and Marine Corps. Investigations of violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice as well as Title 18 USC. He has conducted counter intelligence operations/investigations, executive protection missions, physical security surveys, and conducted training to various agencies and federal employees. Mr. Lord is noted as a senior investigator in white collar crime and hazardous materials investigations with NCIS. Surveys included Andros Island and in-CONUS adjuncts for NUSC and the entire fuel distribution/storage operations for US Navy Far East.

Additional professional activities US Army and US Army Reserve. From 1966 to 1994 he served as a commissioned officer both in Armor, Armored Cavalry and Military Police. Served two combat tours in Viet Nam w/ armor as both advisor to Vietnamese and as a reconnaissance cavalry unit commander. Mr. Lord served as brigade level logistics officer in combat, commanded a military police company on active duty . He attended various military professional schools including Armor Officer Basic, Armor Officer Career Course, Army Counterterrorism School, Command & General Staff College and Force Protection training. Mr Lord completed 28 years of service as a battalion commander of a military police battalion, USAR, Nashville, TN. He developed modular exercise concept for Battalion and Brigade level training exercises w/87th Maneuver Area Command and Commanded OPFOR elements with 2nd Maneuver Training Command.
