An Appeal to Clergy to Help With the Cribb "Cold Case"
TO: CHARLESTON CLERGY
RE: PRAYER FOR THE FAMILIES OF MURDERED POLICE OFFICE WILLIAM CRIBB AND MURDERERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
"I believe God spared me in order to rectify my son's death. I think I owe it to Bill. I don't think his soul will ever rest until the people who killed him are caught."
Winifred Cribb of James Island
On Thursday April 29th Channel 5 will air the story of local efforts by Former North Charleston Police Chief Mickey Whatley, Sheriff Al Cannon, and myself to revisit the investigation of the murder of Charleston County Police Officer Bill Cribb Nov 15, 1974. A poignant, heart felt plea by Officer Cribb's 86 year old mother for justice for her son's murder will be aired.
A key part of this investigation is the blending of Harve Jacob's journalism background, Cannon and Whatley's law enforcement background and God's first team on earth -- his clergy. We all believe that if a large amount of clergy representing all religions would pray for Bill Cribb, his family, as well as for the murderers and their families in their congregations on May 2 God will respond through a clergy member by encouraging one of themurderers to seek personal salvation through confessing to the crime.
Please consider writing a personal prayer for your congregation and encourage others in your denomination to do the same.
Sincerely
Howie Comen
