Panagiotis E. Thomadakis

It is with deepest regrets that I have to inform the membership of the
untimely death of Panos Thomadakis a dear personal friend.
 
Panos died this morning of a heart attack.  His funeral is scheduled
for April 6 at 1600 hours at St. Andreas Voula.

Panagiotis E. Thomadakis was born in 1941 in Volos Magnissias, in Central Greece.

Panagiotis E. Thomadakis received his formal education in Athens University Physics/Electronics and University of Chicago in Business Administration.
In his professional carrier, Panagiotis has held several managerial positions in IBM World Trade Corporation in Greece, Kuwait and Chicago IL, USA, where he served from 1964 up to 1976.

In 1977 he established A.C.S. (American Computer Systems), a leading company in IT technology in Greece.

A.C.S. soon became a protagonist for systems integration in Greece and abroad establishing a very impressive customer base in Public and Private sectors (Greece, CIS, Bulgaria, Malta, Saudi Arabia etc.).

Due to business opportunities arisen in Eastern countries ACS was obliged to offer bartering agreements for the purchasing of technology.

For this purpose he established in 1992 INTERSTRIVE S.A., a general trading company, through which were made all the barter transactions.

Panagiotis Thomadakis established MTI Inc in November 1994 as a successor to ACS continuing the Information Technology Systems Integration business and also becoming active in the emerging market of High Technology Security systems and services.
MTI has a very impressive customer list consisting of National and International companies.

Panagiotis E. Thomadakis distinguished in 1984 with the "Management Award" and in 1988 with the international award "Quality Distinction".

Also he was decorated with:

- C' degree of St. Mark of the Patriarchy of Alexandria 1990
- B' degree of St. Mark of the Patriarchy of Alexandria 1991
- Silver Cross of St. Mark of the Patriarchy of Alexandria 1991

He is also a member of Thessaliki Research Co., Athenian Club, Glyfada Golf Club, Athens Home for the Aged, member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), INTELNET, WAD, GIN, IIN.

Mr. Panagiotis Thomadakis was married in 1965 to Marianna Vamvakoussi. They have one son George, 37 years old, and one daughter Erica, 32 years old and grandchildren to George, Marianna II JR 11 and Nicol 9.
